Originally from Syracuse, New York, Dr. Cruz has always pursued growth through

challenge—mindset that led him across the country and into the top ranks of his profession. He

graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a degree in psychology, then

returned east to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors at the University of

Maryland School of Dentistry (UMSOD).

Guided by a commitment to excellence, he completed a three-year residency at UMSOD in

periodontics and implant surgery, where he was trained in advanced regenerative, implant, and

soft tissue procedures. Alongside his residency, he earned a Master’s in Biomedical Science,

with research focused on soft tissue cell biocompatibility with implant surfaces—a foundation that continues to inform his dual emphasis on aesthetic integrity and long-term functional outcomes.

Dr. Cruz has co-authored and presented research at nationally and internationally recognized

conferences, and is known for his meticulous, patient-centered approach. Whether rebuilding

smiles or preserving natural teeth, he brings gentle precision to every procedure with minimally

invasive techniques—delivering results that are both technically sound and aesthetically refined.

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Cruz leads an active lifestyle and enjoys exploring new

experiences—especially through travel, trying new restaurants and cuisines, and spending time

outdoors. When he is not working, he also enjoys reading and watching the Buffalo Bills and

New York Yankees.
